Thijs van den Boogaard - 05/09/2007 The DS Linker is a very nice Slot-1 flashcard. It has support for all games, you only have to choose the right save type sometimes for the newest games. The package included everything. The only minuses are: the short USB-cable, the lacking of a manual, the slow writespeeds and the impossibility of using an USB extension cable. You only need the writer when you want to put games on it or upgrade the firmware. There are very regular firmware updates on the homepage, which is kinda slow (www.dslinker.com). It is also possible to use it as a mousepad or gamepad. It uses an SRAM module for saving, but the saves are backupped each reboot to a map on the NAND flash memory you've chosen. You can also manually backup the save to one of the six slots for each game. It also has homebrew support, using Moonshell (separate download). You can use the browser if you download it from DS Linker's homepage and you have a Supercard slot 2. Clean ROM is also supported.
My conclusion is that if you don't want to buy SD cards for your flashcard, you should take an DS Linker. The reason why I didn't gave 10/10 is the short USB cable and the lack of an manual.
